No,no,I beg to differ here.First of all professor Lumumba started this topic so incorrectly,by putting the blame to Ukraine,NATO,Western Europe and America,instead of blaming President Putin for waging the unnecessary war against his cousins,his neighbour's,in full view of the whole world!I was on leave and was able to follow the whole situation.Africans let's be factual with the problems here. Putin started the war against a sovereign state,Ukraine and killed the people,forcing them to be part of Russia like before... When Ukraine ignored his demands,Putin stormed into invasion of Ukraine. It was a silly decision. I know a lot of people in Africa like Putin and will try to protect his stupid action... It's wrong my African people,let's be factual.,let's be realistic... I like the conversation but ,Mr Jirongo we can no use carbon credit to our advantage because its absurd. How can we allow the West to pollute on our behalf by paying us some money. This will be followed by a law that requires us not to industrialize on account of polluting the environment while they continue enjoying cheap energy from coal that make their products competitive in the African markets. The idea of planting a billion trees sounds good on paper but impractical to execute. Assuming one tree costs 1000 kshs to plant, already that would cost 1 trillion shillings to plant them. Think about the logistics of planting a billion trees, first of all it'd take up a land the size of Kiambu. where do you get the land and at what cost? How many people do you employ? How do you cultivate and maintain the trees for 10 years? Would take some more trillions and a lot more technical and logistical challenges.
